On August 14, 2025, the Thai Women Engineers Association (TWEA) visited and studied at the Thai Microelectronics Center (TMEC) in Chachoengsao Province. Ms. Atcharin Pattanapanchai, President of the Thai Women Engineers Association (TWEA), along with the association’s committee and members, visited and studied at the Thai Microelectronics Center (TMEC) in Chachoengsao Province. TMEC is a research unit under the National Electronics and Computer Technology Center (NECTEC), under the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA). It develops and provides services for the production of advanced microchips and sensors on silicon, covering everything from circuit design and layout, photomask production, wafer production, to assembly and packaging. TMEC is the first wafer fab in Thailand operated by NECTEC. With expertise in CMOS, MEMS & Sensors, Si Photonics and “More-than-Moore” technologies such as MEMS sensors, radiation detectors, pH sensors, Lab-on-a-chip and Superhydrophobic surfaces, as well as international standard facilities such as Cleanroom Class 100 and Class 10K with advanced equipment for Microfabrication processes ranging from Lithography, Thin Film Deposition, Etching, Diffusion & Ion Implantation to Wafer-level testing and functional testing. This study visit provided the association members with the opportunity to learn about the technology and manufacturing processes of micro- and nano-scale electronic devices, as well as to discuss approaches for engineering and innovation collaboration to jointly drive Thailand’s high-tech industry into the future. #TWEA #TMEC #WomenEngineers #Microelectronics #EngineeringInnovation #NECTEC #STIThailand #ผู้หญิงวิศวกรไทย
